POSITION:   UNIT CLERK II – Maternal/Child / OR Scheduling / OR / SPAC
                      Primarily Stratford Site

                      Regular Part-Time Position


POSITION SUMMARY: The Unit Clerk II contributes to the function of the Nursing Unit primarily through effective clerical and communication activities.  The Unit Clerk II provides support to Maternal/Child and OR Scheduling


REPORTS TO:  Manager, Maternal/Child


DATE REQUIRED:  September 30, 2013


SALARY:   $21.86 to $23.21 per hour


QUALIFICATIONS:  
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
-  Medical Office Administration Certificate or Equivalent


EXPERIENCE:  
-  Minimum one year experience in a health care setting


ABILITIES:   
- Medical terminology
-  Computer literate with a working knowledge of the Meditech Information System and Microsoft Office Applications
- Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, multi-task and be flexible
- Ability to work independently or side-by-side with other members of the healthcare team pleasantly and interact professionally with peers, patients and other departments
