Your blood type determines who you can donate to, or receive blood from. People with type O negative (O-) are considered universal donors, as they can donate red blood cells to all other blood type recipients. That’s why it’s always in high demand — it’s used in emergency situations when there is no time to test a patient’s blood type. Source: Canadian Blood Services

Blood Donors Urgently Needed

Canadian Blood Services needs our help to meet patients' needs this summer by donating blood. With people away or busy with other activities, there tend to be fewer donations, making summer one of the most challenging times for Canada's blood system.

July Blood Donor Clinics

July 2 - St. Marys Pyramid Rec Centre – 4pm to 8pm

July 9 - Seaforth - Community Centre - 1:30pm to 7:30pm

July 14 - Stratford - Rotary Complex - 9am to 12 pm

July 25 - Goderich Knights of Columbus - 1pm to 7 pm

July 31 - Stratford - Rotary Complex - 1pm to 7pm
