A new state-of-the-art digital X-ray suite is being
installed at the Clinton Public Hospital site of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA); allowing continued
exceptional care for patients, while producing better image quality.
The installation and renovations are nearing completion
and staff training will commence shortly.
The new suite will be available for outpatient X-ray exams effective
January 22, 2020. Individuals requiring outpatient X-rays before
January 22 may do so at another hospital.
Effective January 11, 2020, regular hours of operation of
the X-ray Department at the Seaforth Community Hospital of the HPHA for
outpatient X-rays will resume. These hours are Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
As well, until January 22, inpatients and emergency department patients of Clinton Public Hospital who require X-rays will be
assessed on a case-by-case basis. X-rays
may be provided by a portable unit or patients will be transferred to another hospital
for X-rays as necessary.
“We are thrilled to have this technology at our Clinton
Public Hospital site,” says Louanne Plain, Manager Medical Imaging. “Our patients will benefit from higher
quality images which in turn allows for accuracy in interpretation and
diagnosis. The new equipment will also
improve efficiency as exams will be performed in a shorter amount of time.”
The HPHA thanks the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation
and their generous donors for the financial support for this project.
