New LogoCOMMUNITY SURVEY

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is moving forward with the planning of a new service delivery model to meet the changing healthcare needs of patients and families and maximize on the skills and expertise of our committed staff. The proposed new model includes, but is not limited to:

The proposed new model includes:

  • developing 'Centres of Specialty at each of the four Alliance sites (Ambulatory Surgery in Clinton, Rehabilitation and Alternate Level of Care in Seaforth and St. Marys, and Acute Care in Stratford),
  • maintaining some acute care at all four Alliance sites,
  • maintaining four Emergency Departments, yet assessing the hours of operation in St. Marys and assessing the Emergency Departments in Seaforth and Clinton in conjunction with the Southwest Local Health Integration Network's Emergency Department Human Resources Study,
  • introducing new services such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health and
  • adding a new Magnetic Resonance Unit(MRI).

Our Vision 2013 plan reflects our commitment to ensure that a wide range of services continues to be available within the service area of the Alliance, that all members of our healthcare team are able to use their skills and expertise to the fullest extent possible and that each hospital remains an important part of the local healthcare system.

The full presentation from the Annual General Meeting can be viewed by clicking this link Vision 2013 Update.

Our model proposes that we reconsider how and where services are currently offered within the Alliance in order to ensure quality, safety, appropriate staffing levels and skill mix, and the vitality of each of our hospitals within their own community and as part of the broader healthcare system.
We want to get your feedback on our plans and gather your ideas for building stronger hospital-based healthcare.

The information collected from this survey, as well as information gathered through a series of Community Workshops and Community Meetings will be analyzed and used to inform our plans and help us to make the best possible decisions about health service delivery within the Alliance.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your views are important to us. If you require assistance completing this survey, please call 519-272-8210 Ext. 2737.
