Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance Releases Telephone Survey Feedback

650 residents living in Clinton, St. Marys, Seaforth, Stratford and surrounding communities have shared their views on local hospital issues by participating in a recent telephone survey initiated by the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA).

The survey is an important piece of the HPHA’s community engagement strategy and was designed to gather feedback on concepts and ideas currently being discussed as part of the HPHA’s “VISION 2013” process.

VISION 2013 reflects the HPHA’s commitment to making decisions today aimed at strengthening the delivery of hospital-based services into the future for all residents served by our local hospitals. Ideas currently under discussion include:

  • distribution of beds between the Alliance’s 4 sites;
  • whether 4, 24/7 emergency departments are required to meet the hospital-based emergency needs of the population served; and
  • creating “centres of specialty” aimed at strengthening the Alliance’s ability to retain and recruit healthcare professionals.

The feedback shared will provide valuable insight into the views of the people we serve,” stated HPHA CEO Andrew Williams. “We will be reviewing the Report in detail over the next few weeks and will ensure that future community engagement initiatives speak directly to the feedback provided,” he said.
