Nicole Goes For Surgery

Created by Christina St. Pierre, RPN Operating Room, this presentation allows pediatric patients and their caregivers to prepare for an upcoming surgery.

Photographed at our Stratford General Hospital Site this presentation takes Nicole and her caregiver from the main entrance (where they will stop to use the hand hygiene station of course!) to patient registration, the operating room, the recovery room and over to the pediatric unit until discharge. Along the way Nicole will introduce viewers to some of her health care providers and will explain what to expect when having a surgery at the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance - Stratford General Hospital or Clinton Public Hospital sites. We hope this presentation is helpful in relieving some of the anxiety children and their caregivers can experience when faced with experiencing a surgical procedure.
