Patient Registration staff are responsible for processing all admissions, discharges and transfers of inpatients and are responsible for bed allocation at all sites.
The Registration Department is responsible for registering patients in:
- Day surgery at the Stratford and Clinton sites,
- ER visits at all sites
- Booking, registration and confirmation for site specific clinics at all sites.
At the Clinton, St. Marys and Seaforth Sites Switchboard Duties are performed by Patient Registration staff.
Switchboard Staff at all sites provide direction and coordination of communication between outside calls and internal hospital staff including paging and announcing of emergency codes. Further, at the Seaforth Site, the Switchboard staff provide a 911 dispatching service for several volunteer fire departments.
All switchboards provide clerical support to various other departments including Finance and Health Information services and act as central information centers for hospital staff and the general public.
