Board Committees aid the Board of Directors in the fulfillment of its governance role. These Committees assist with the work of the Board and provide leadership and direction to the hospital’s executive, while overseeing key aspects of performance and management. Board Committees meet on a regular basis between Board Meetings.
Current Board Committees are listed below. Click on the committee name to read its terms of reference.
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) is governed by a volunteer
Board of Directors comprised of eleven elected and nine ex-officio members,
including a Patient Partner. (Refer to the HPHA’s By-laws for detailed
information on Board composition)
Governance responsibilities include accountability and oversight of the HPHA's:
- Values, Mission and Vision
- Commitments to Our Communities (strategic plan)
- Financial stewardship
- Quality and performance monitoring
- Stakeholder relations
Board members have a unique opportunity to help shape the health care
and well-being of our communities. We
encourage applicants who are systems thinkers with a broad range of backgrounds
and skills to complement the current Board.
The HPHA undertakes a recruitment process and vacancies are advertised
in March/April each year and opportunities are advertised across Huron Perth.
Applications are received and reviewed by the Nominating Committee, with
recommendations through the Governance & Stakeholder Relations Committee to
the Board of Directors.
Although the HPHA is not currently recruiting, we welcome applications
from interested individuals that we can keep on file.
For more information, please contact Sue Davey, Executive Assistant (519-272-8205 / susan.davey@hpha.ca )
The HPHA is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion
The Board of Directors has a number of policies that guide the governance process. Below is a selection of current policies and resources.
