Radiothon Update!
December 13, 2022
With the end of 2022 approaching, we wanted to provide an update on the total raised from the CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon. Firstly, the Foundation would like to thank the community for their participation and generosity. What we do would not be possible without your continued support. So for that, we thank you!
On December 1, 2022, Ron Lavoie, Foundation Chair was invited to the Huron East/Seaforth Community Development Trust office to receive a cheque for $5,000 for the Foundation. This donation will be put towards our Radiothon campaign. Check out the photo below of Ron with Christie Little, Chairperson of the Huron East/Seaforth Community Development Trust!
This year our goal for the Radiothon was to fundraise $50,000 for a new ultrasound machine. At the time of writing this, our total raised is just over $39,000. We are so close to our goal and a new ultrasound machine for the Seaforth Community Hospital!
The Foundation would also like to extend our thanks to Wendy, Chair of the SCHF Radiothon Committee. Without Wendy’s dedication and knowledge of the event, this would not have been possible.

Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation Awarded $6,000 from ScotiaMcLeod
November 15, 2022
The Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation (the Foundation) is very grateful to receive a donation in the amount of $6,000 from Scotia Wealth Management’s Share the Wealth campaign.
This was made by possible by Alexander Cardno. Alexander grew up in Seaforth and was a member of the Foundation Board from 2020-2021. In the summer of 2022, Alexander, a Wealth Advisor at Scotia Wealth Management, graciously nominated the Foundation as a charity worthy of recognition and support based on the benefit the Foundation brings to the Seaforth Community Hospital and community.
“We are so honoured that Alexander nominated the Foundation for this award,” says Ron Lavoie, Foundation Chair. “This donation will enhance the Seaforth community by assisting the Foundation’s goal of fundraising for a new Ultrasound unit. As we know ultrasound plays an essential role in helping healthcare professionals diagnose and determine treatment for a variety of conditions and diseases.”
On behalf of the patients and team members at the Seaforth Community Hospital, the Foundation would like to thank Alexander for the nomination, ScotiaMcLeod for their generosity and the community for their continued support.
“If we all give a little… we all get a lot!”
