The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) offers a spiritual care program to help meet the needs of patients, families, caregivers, physicians, staff and volunteers.
Previously referred to as chaplains, spiritual care providers work with all people and recognize that spirituality is a personal and individual experience.
The goal of spiritual care is to meet you where you are at and journey with you wherever you need to go to find meaning and purpose. Healthy spiritual practices are important to healing.
During your time in hospital, you may wish to have visits from the spiritual leader from your community or you may feel that your spiritual health would be best served through spiritual ritual. At your request, HPHA Spiritual Care will help you contact spiritual resources outside of the hospital or the HPHA Spiritual Care Provider can be accessed to help you with your spiritual needs.
