Stratford General Hospital (SGH) is recruiting a Full and/or Part Time Emergency Physician to join the team!
Shifts:
- 8 hour shifts, with 16 hours of double coverage daily (solo from 01:00-07:00).
- 24/7 on call support for volume and transfers.
- Comprehensive AFA and shadow billing remuneration.
- Scheduling through PetalMD software, with equitable scheduling among all members, and easy shift trades.

Services:
- SGH is a 126 bed hospital and the specialist referral centre for the region. The site bed mix includes an adult ICU, general medicine & surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics and step-down neonatal unit, adult inpatient mental health, rehabilitation services, outpatient dialysis and chemo units.
- Busy ED with ~ 100 visits daily, and one of the highest acuity sites in the province (~30% CTAS 1 & 2).
- Excellent consultant support including Internal Medicine/ICU, Pediatrics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Psychiatry & Hospitalist.
- 24/7 Respiratory Therapy coverage.
- 24/7 access to CT without having to call a radiologist first. MRI on-site.
- Social Work/Crisis services for mental health assessments in the ED.
- Provincially recognized Regional Stroke Program, led by our Internal Medicine Group.
